Which digi cam to get?

basically i was after a canon ixus 750, went to harvey norman had a fiddle with it, wasnt comfortable with it. Tried the nikon coolpix p1, very comfortable. There is a coolpix p2 which is 5 megapixel compared to 8 megapixel. Can somebody tell me what else is different between these two cameras. And is 5 megapixel still good or what? Has anyone got or tried the p1 or p2 and got opinions on it. Anyone recommend a different camera?

No i havn't but i recomend the Panasonic FX-8 it's 5mp

Unless you're intending to print posters 5 megapixel is plenty, there's no need to go higher

Panasonic DMC LX1 is pretty good. I just bought it for my uncle and its very nice.

Canons are far better. I highly doubt you will need any more than 5MP (you probably won't even use that)

Keep in mind that for the same price, you can get cameras with many different CMOS/CCD sensors (4MP, 5MP etc) I would recommend getting the lesser megapixel one for the same price, as it would take far better photos than a higher resolution cam for the same price.
