I see that numbers have been outlined. Fitzroy players and supporters definitely enjoyed Junction Oval as a home ground. The VFLs ground rationalisation policy saw the Junction Oval disused post 1984 and this hurt the club tremendously. The Roys couldn't secure a suitable ground arrangement for the following ten years till the Western (Whitten) Oval proved financially worthwhile. Though this location itself was some distance from our heartland.
