Many of us wish the same of you.

It's not "weak" to think bringing Hird back is dumb. It actually shows intelligence.
I was more about how our supporters chop and change on their opinions anything Essendon.
RE . 2mt Pete, Phillips, Especially Heppell, Hird , Sheedy. I d like to think I've been reasonably consistent with my opinions.
In no way am I disrespecting anyone else's opinions.

I honestly wish some of you posters supported another Club. Two faced weak as piss soft *****.
Exactly. I get the overwhelming sense from many EFC supporters that not only have they forgotten the lyrics to Point Break's "Stand Tough", but they are not taking said lyrics to heart which is not only un-Essendonian but un-Australian as well.

And if he didn’t listen to doc Reid who would be Listen to then?
If we employ hird club is totally stuffed

Hird supported Reid and coauthored the letter to the board to sack Dank and Robinson. It was Evans who said paying them out while we have our hand out for the Tullamarine precinct is not a good look.

Reid wrote to james and question the programmed and said don’t do it from memory, hird didn’t listen to him, hors isn’t the answer for our next coach.. 3 months of coaching in 7 years..

It doesn't matter for our purposes if Hird was unfairly scapegoated (spoiler alert: he was) what matters is that the young guys in our team don't know anything about Hird except what they read about him in the papers after 2013.

The single most important part of whether or not a system works is that the players trust it. And trusting the system means trusting the coach.

How are they going to do that with Hird? It's not like he has any runs on the board as a finals winning coach to offset the negative views players would have of him.

The Hird conversation has been done to death. It’s just circle work at this stage, but it will continue until he is ruled out or rules himself out, assuming that’s the outcome. I can’t wait until the club has made its decision so they can get on with it one way or another.

I don't know that players necessarily have negative views about him, they've probably actually met him a couple of times as Tom's dad or at functions and stuff.

But neither the players, nor us as fans, nor the club's management, can really point to anything positive about his coaching that isn't several years out of date.
