Once again,as it is every week in the SANFL season, why is it so hard to get live scores. We are apparently the best comp outside the AFL,but the websites, radio and ABC are hopeless.5RPH had the Glenelg v Eagles game and had to ring their guy at Elizabeff to get a score update.Very professional.Im sure the SANFL could put a live score update from the games on there.I watched a qtr of South/Port today on ABC and not a word.

One of the goals of the LIFE FM SANFL coverage this year is to give the most regular SANFL & AFL score updates possible.

We now have a laptop at the games with wireless internet access.

This enables us to access the official AFL & SANFL live scoreboards as the game progresses.

So far we have been able to update scores at other SANFL grounds every few minutes and AFL games a little more irregularly.

Because it is live from the ground we can just throw updates in during a break in play so hopefully it will mean six to ten updates of each game every quarter, the most updates ever in SANFL radio history.

That's the plan, on most occassions it works well but if the scoreboard service fails we need to go to backups such as www.safooty.net which does live updates or even people SMS'ing in scores to us.

Rest assured we are fully foucussed on given as many scores as possible.

Coverage is on www.life.on.net

I'm amazed that 5 dribble a don't do more updates instead of solely running 3AW's AFL coverage all weekend (or so it was when I was in the car). It drove me nuts, literally, trying to get score updates while out and about all weekend.

Why does that surprise you that 5AA give stuff all coverage? Between KG "My Beloved Westies" and Graham "SA Forever" Cornes, they were very quick to forget their involvement in the SANFL got them where they are the moment the Crows came along.

All their pro-SA footy and anti-Victorian chest beating are conveniently forgotten as they suck up to all the Victorians in the AFL. They love it, and grass roots footy is somebody else's concern.

KG wouldn't be able to tell you names of 5 West Adelaide players and yet they claim to love the SANFL. It makes me sick.

Cornesy goes to quite a few Glenelg games and stands in the outer with the real fans. KG, on the other hand, I don't think he has been to SANFL for a while. I haven't seen him at a game for years and never in the outer.

5RPH on 1197AM are brilliant for SANFL coverage with limited resources.

big footy, big boo-boo.

scores in Norwood/Sturt game reversed!

Yeah it was all over the shop, especially during the last quarter. It had both scores tied for a few minutes!

Just a minor glitch though, usually it is very good and Life FM and RPH provide excellent coverage with their internet feed giving us interstaters a taste of real footy.
