The player spoke with WIGMEDIATM on the condition of anonymity




BREAKING:

News has just reached the WIGMEDIATM offices of a possible impending shock retirement of an OOBs stalwart and league mainstay.


Said player fronted up today and spoke with us about the worry that they would lose motivation if the Ophidian Old Boys won the flag. A bit like when Wile E Coyote finally caught the Road Runner. What would be left?




Player X: "Look, I don't know whether I will or won't for certain, but, there wouldn't be much left. A lot of the players I started with have left. I really miss my season 23 alumni like Tony Lynn 15 and TheCoach16. I think a premiership might wind it all up into a neat little package for me".


Player X, with a nauseatingly good CV which includes the EKA, beez, TFLUA Tiger Medal and multiple All SFA's, wanted to stay unknown as he didn't want to distract from the OOBs main focus of attempting to win their first flag in just their second season.

Player X: "I've pretty much dominated this finals series, probably 2/3 BOGs, so I am motivated to perform this week. I can see the finish line, I really think it's spurring me on. And of course, I'd love to win it for Tigerturbulance after all he's done to get the franchise up and going".

Shut up Mr Irrelevant, if you win the flag you won't be anywhere near retirement. You'll be more insufferable than okeydoke7 for the next 10 seasons.
