We saw this last year didn’t we? The Bombres going along fine, getting their fans all jacked up, then tumbling out of contention. The question is, have they done enough to scrape into finals this time? Personally I am more of the idea they will start to lose grip of it all and miss. Their percentage says it all. Very middle of the road still and mostly lucky so far.

Sorry to spoil your party but it's too soon, you know where this thread will end up mostly likely right?
Oh no friend I'm keeping this here*

If a Hawfie supporter makes the :goat: backfire fred OAT when we win a final this year I may just spontaneously combust with goo.

Make is so.

Can you, in good confidence, suggest your side will win the 5 games required to sneak into the 8?

Whether they make the 8 depends... do they play 5 teams in the bottom 8 in the 2H of the season?

Let's take a look shall we:

R15 Weagles (Docklands) :whitecheck:
R16 Handbaggers (MCG)
R17 Flagpies (MCG)
R18 Shemons (MCG)
R19 Crom (Docklands) :whitecheck:
R20 Aints (Docklands) :whitecheck:
R21 Failmantle (MCG)
R22 Cold Goats (Docklands)
R23 Swines (Docklands)
R24 LOLions (Gabba) :whitecheck:

Four more wins might be enough since they also had a draw so their percentage only matters against Dockers, Lions and Crows but realistically they'll probably be on the edge of the 8 then choke it against the Bears in Brisbane in the final round :$

Thoughts zackah ?

This Thread has flogstradamus potential written all over it.

Wait a minute, the title says 24', not '24. Does that mean the OP is asking if they'll make finals in the 25th century?
The reader, and by that I mean the astute reader, can decipher that, from the use of the apostrophe in the context of the sentence—and thread, and within a reasonable understanding of time and its constraints, it is probably, in the realm of all things, a failure, of sorts, by the writer in attempting to communicate effectively with their target audience; and by failing to communicate effectively, without any real knowledge of the matter, they may have left the reader with a sense of ambiguity that can be bewildering and disconcerting for some.

According to AI....

Ah, the age-old question that keeps footy fans on the edge of their seats! 🏉 Let’s dive into the red and black world of Essendon.

Essendon Bombers, after a whopping 7,231 days (yes, I counted!) since their last AFL final victory back in 2004, are finally showing signs of breaking their finals curse. It’s like they’ve been carrying around a footy-shaped monkey on their backs, but this year, they’re ready to shake it off! 🐒

According to the footy oracle (okay, maybe just some very keen experts), Essendon is not merely going to win a final—they’re going to strut their stuff all the way to a preliminary final! 🎉✨

Ben Dixon, the sharpshooter from Hawthorn, has declared it: “It’s a preliminary boarding call for finals.” Translation: The Bombers are packing their bags, checking in, and aiming high. 🛫

Last year, they had a decent 8-5 record at this stage, but then stumbled a bit down the stretch. But guess what? They’ve been doing their homework under coach Brad Scott, and now they’re primed to not just break the curse but absolutely shatter it. 💥

So, Essendon fans, buckle up those seatbelts—your boys are on a mission! Finals footy awaits, and they’re ready to give it a red-and-black crack. 🚀🔴⚫

And hey, while we’re at it, let’s hope they don’t need 7,231 more days to pop the champagne after a final win. 🥂 Cheers to the Bombers! 🙌
