Windows XP Settings

Hi, i just recently got windows xp and got someone to do it for me yet for some reason my desktop doesnt look like its windows xp, does anyone know how to change the setting so the desktop and windows look like it??

right click on the desktop.

click on the properties.

the first menu you should see is called "themes".

ensure the them is "windows XP" as there are other themes like "tradtional windows", "my current theme" and maybe a couple of others.

you most likely have it on "traditional windows"

Windows classic looks better anyway.
