Grand Finals are about to commence, so this seems like a totally appropriate time to start a thread for the WNBL season.
What a wild ride it has been to get to this point.
From week 1 involving a serious integrity scandal involving a head coach, through a season so Covid-affected that not only was the schedule uneven in terms of who played who, but the teams didn't even all end up playing the same number of games.
And now today the WNBL announced that Perth are into the Grand Final series, where they will play Melbourne, despite only 1 semi final being completed.
The Lynx were up 1-0 in the best-of-3 semis, Canberra copped a serious case of the Covids, the league decided to ditch game 2 and play the semis as a best-of-2 series using points differential, and then they couldn't schedule it to Canberra's satisfaction so today they forfeited.
Crazy stuff.
