There IS no-one else
First we get rid of a 900 goal player so we can "develop" the next breed, then not play him - SMART!

Then we recruit another forward on a 3 year deal and ... not play him - more SMART!

Good thing we've got a rock solid and brilliant forward line to cover this.

Next we institute a game plan that relies heavily on handball, yet very few can handball with any accuracy at all - MORE SMART!

I can't see us winning another game this year and the only good thing about winning the wooden spoon will be to finally show up the leadership of this club for what it really is - STUFFED!

So many very good players wasting their careers under this game plan - what a shame :(

Or you could feel free to point out where I'm wrong and how the future looks any good. Remember, this was the year we were meant to be making the finals in their grand plan.

Anyway, the 900 goalkicker was pretty close to finished. He wouldn't really make any difference. Neagle doesn't deserve a game. Williams got injured after being played (and remember, when he was playing people like you were saying we should drop him) and A) Hasn't fully recovered and B) hasn't deserved a game.

And if you think the forward line is the problem you're kidding yourself.

The players can handball, the problem is they handball before they think.

He was pushed out by the idiot in charge. If he played in the goalsquare and kicked 3 a game (66 for the year), that WOULD be a difference.

Show me where I've said that. Perhaps you should have some semblance of an idea of what you're talking about. I wouldn't have recruited him, but once we did, I certainly would play him (& Neagle), since nothin' else is working.

I doubt our midfielders have the skills to kick it to the goal-square on a consistent basis

Midfield works worse. We rely on Watson doing everything.

"people like you". By like I mean the people (Kelvin (RIP) sticks out here) who when we are losing start making angry threads and demand that Knights be sacked and that Prismall be dropped/Williams be dropped or say it was a mistake to drop Prismall/Williams and we should sack Knights and pick them again. People who over-react and don't calm down before posting.

Neagle rarely shows any hungry to play, on nights when maybe things are not going well for him or the team, Neagle isn't gonna be the player who contiunes to try hard. He just doesn't have the hungry. Last year we all thought maybe his lack of trying sometimes was because of his injures but this season it's become apparent it's his head, not his body.

I do agree that in retrospect we shouldn't have got Williams. Or Prismall

are you saying that having Lloyd in the goalsquare would win us a flag kicking 66goals? no chance,

i hate losing as much as the next person, but finishing 6th-12th makes no difference to me than finishing 13th-16th, nor does 2nd-5th, i dont care how long it takes but finishing in the 6th-12th bracket does not help development if you finish there continuously especially if your doing it with 30yo KPP players who arent going to be there when you get to the top and hinder development of the younger players.

reality is we need to get as many games into hurley gumbleton pears and hooker, you cant do that with lloyd in the goalsquare,

problem is we also need to get games into myers houli and 3-4 other midfielders that we dont even have on our list yet...
 
Knight is playing under the directive to tank. We have a certain over the border midfeilde'rs commitment and his has agreed to work with him to get him to Essendon, providing a decent draft pick can be procured to go with handy injured, small Bomber forward type from SA.
