This performance is just as bad as the first time we played them.

We win the ball inside, we get it forward, but they just defend smartly, our forwards do zero, then once they get some clean possession they run hard forward and win the contests in space, get it forward to outnumbers and score.

Its so ****in poor. Our reactive outside play, the lack of defensive work rate, the forwards that just don't impact the game or get shit down and just let the defenders spread away from them. We just don't do the basics well at all. Outside of that rolling midfield battle we just get hurt.

This is so bad, I'm over watching it. I'm going to do something else. Have seen enough.

The way they pressure and just turn it into some epic scrap (they did this last time too, it's not conditions based), then they run and spread and find space everywhere. With players playing in front, spreading hard from the contest, and then they hit targets . Its just not what we structure up to counter at all. The defensive action is just non-existent from us in comparison to them.

Has been the same under multiple coaches , its the way there instructed to play. The oppo formula has always been the same at this level , flood back, congest, run the ball defensively on a quick rebound with numbers, catch us out and score. Simple and effective at Sanfl level.
