Would've thought the opposite. More people likely to buy extra drinks/popcorn during the middle of a movie.

Would likely mean 1 less screening per day, per screen.

I imagine they've done the maths, and decided that the extra drinks/popcorn isn't enough to make up for the lost ticket sales from the additional screening.

Also yes, the Lethal Weapon Flicks is great and a lot better than the overrated Die Hard movies.

I don't really like mob films. I didn't rate Goodfellas at the time and now have no memory of it whatsoever. I've never watched The Godfather or Casino.

its not in IMDBS top 250 shows, its pretty middling in ratings overall

it was just popular enough to go for a long time

generic safe entertainment that didn't challenge people
