Also just found a 2015 draft profile for him when he was an 18 year old:

Club: West Adelaide (South Australia)
Position: Inside midfielder
Height: 173 cm
Weight: 77 kg

Key stats: Averaged 21.7 disposals (11.8 contested) in the under 18 championships

Will Snelling is a contested ball hard nut who loves the contested situations. Snelling performed well as an inside midfielder in the under 18 championships, helping him to win South Australia’s MVP for the carnival. Snelling tackles hard and has good hands, giving him the ability to clear the ball from stoppages with a fast hand ball out to a teammate. Snelling demonstrated good leadership skills, captaining South Australia and also had a taste of senior SANFL football for West Adelaide. Snelling has a large tank, which helped him break the state three-kilometre time trial record in South Australia.

Joint Margaret medal winner.

He was limited but I kind of wonder how our side would have looked this year with 2 or three tackles inside 50 every game from this bloke

Was thinking similar. Reckon there’s a fair chance Stewart and Snelling would have played plenty of footy this year had they been on the list and healthy

The question is whether he added more than Gresham for a far lower cost. His team first and pressure aspects were better though he's probably not as much of a natural small forward nor can he kick very far.

I think the play would have been Gresham to play deeper in the Menzie role.

Hard to be too harsh on the decision to cut him given his limited output since his hamstring injury but I thought he could have been part of the way the coaching staff hold players accountable for not playing their role.

He is best suited to play as a pure mid which is where he won the Margarey medal from. We tried to turn him into a small forward which was never gonna work.

Do I think he would be in our best 22, no.

Would he have been handy depth for our mid rotations this year at times? Maybe, but I’m ok with the call to move on.

Yeah I’m not potting the decision to let him go just think he would have out performed Menzie, Davey and Hobbs as the high half forward this year
