thank **** we won but i am really worried about our team dynamic - all they do is rip each others heads off during the game
Ripping into each other is never a good look. It suggests desperation to avoid another loss more than determination to get a win. Cox and the senior players need to ensure the focus remains on the latter. Heads up, support your teammates even when they do dumb things. It's not deliberate, just pressure.

Perhaps we miss Gulden getting around players on the field, checking they're OK and encouraging them to support each other. He can't do it on field at present but he could re-emphasise the importance of others doing it by getting around and talking to all players individually over the next couple of weeks.

Gulden is the worst at going off teammates tho :tearsofjoy:

My man Miami. His kicking is a delight and so happy he has the confidence to back himself - not just for the goal but a few of his other kicks too.

I think Paps showed some signs of freedom today too. He’s not quite there but I’m expecting him to explode after the bye.
Good to see Paps much more up and about. It will come

Sometimes you've just got to find a way to win.
Appreciated the return of McLean. His defensive efforts were awesome - a one-man forward pressure machine as the commentators said.
Good contributions from other junior players: Corey's tackle in the last minute was important. BIce gave us some spark off halfback and kicked our goal of the week.

Still, poor goalkicking nearly cost us a win for second week in a row.

shining lights - JJ, Bice in last q, Hamling and of course The Chad!
Also worth a mention - Campbell very solid, Lloyd and Ladhams. I can Pete surpassing Grundy this year providing he can behave!
Room for improvement - goal kicking! Corey Warner looks like a deer in the headlights on occasion. Grundy in the 1st half was monstered

Pretty easily to be fair.

He is not exactly Harry who we need, or at least can use, but he has some game about him.

rather him ball in hand than Florent right now

Very happy for McLean. He’s copped a bit on here for being slow but he showed that he gets about as much out of his talent as anyone could ask.

Bice didn't look flustered at all when the game was on the line.Ladhams was good and didn't have a brain explosion this week. Jordon , Wicks and McLean had good games. Hamling looked very solid and it is a mystery why he didn't get a look in last year.
Was an ugly game to watch neither side looked like they would take the game by the scruff of the neck.
Good win to get away from home but there needs to be a significant improvement against North who looked decent today.

Oh yes who could forget a bye after round 3 0_0

Very fortunate to have a second bye in season when a lot of clubs only have one. Good chance to take stock, give a few bruised bodies a chance to rest, and two weeks to prepare for North.

Not a game I'd watch again .

At times during it I would have shipped Amartey off and even Mclean .

But they combined for 4 in the end which is solid .

Mclean didn't take enough marks but did a lot of other stuff, Amartey clunked a fewZ

Hayward wasted so much of it but he does work hard, Papley better but still not very good without the ball- these two need to give us more.

Grundy improved in the 3rd but yeah Ladhams was crucial in the finish - good coaching
