i think Buss debuts next week in his hometown Perth if he does not I do not know if we ever see in the ones.
Ok about Busslinger. Walking from the MCG on Friday night I heard a Bulldogs supporter say the following about the BUSS: the reason he does not get a game is that his work rate and efforts at training are not there for Bevo. It surprised me. Comments?

Speed and spread have been beating the blues each week, why the f would we go in with an extra tall.
JOD is super mobile. It'll be fine in that regards.

We can't play all of Arty, Dolan, West, McNeil, and Vanders as small forwards. Adding a mobile 3rd tall forward is much more balanced imo. Naughts can push up the ground again more too.

Maybe his old mate Kennedy pays a defensive mid role on him? He would have seen him up close a fair bit, and is our biggest and strongest mid.

Fridge I dont mind playing a more outside role as he will run and kick given the opportunity. Going head to head with Crips in your 3rd outing as a midfielder is asking a lot, and Sanders isnt giving us much on the outside
who is fridge? pardon the ignorance in advance

It might be the intensity he trains at. He might put in the work, but he’s a pretty laid-back, easygoing character.

Is tomorrow sold out including GA? I can only buy a standing room ticket
There are a few games a year you need to get your tickets early.
Dogs at Marvel vs Carlton / Collingwood / Essendon generally you gotta grab tickets weeks in advance.

L2 only left for tomorrow night, and yeah, you'll pay 110-150 for them.

Feels like one too many talls for me. Would rather have one of buku or JOD out for Poulter.

Dolan can count himself very lucky too. Not a slight on him at all but his body doesn't look ready.
Its a pretty tall side, but with Odonnell on the bench its not super-tall. It is odd however that we bring in taller players when they have Curnow(193) as their single key fwd. Guessing they play McGovern fwd and Weitering/Young back.

I also get the feeling O'donnell will play fwd.

I’d assume they play the same as they did last week. Curnow, Silvagni, Kemp forward. Weitering, Young, McGovern, Haynes back. They really struggled with Hawthorns smalls last week but ours probably aren’t at the same quality.

You are playing a game at a venue that really only 25k tickets are available to sell to the public and the two local clubs playing that game roughly have a membership of 130k between them. That's BS
If demand was actually that high in the real world than Marvel would hit 50,000 most weeks.

And it is fact that Carlton seats even one to two weeks ago before most seats were sold, were still $100. Our next home game is selling them for around $65.

Stewart Edge said in the VFL pre game interview last week that Buss' needs to improve on his 1v1 defending and contested marking. He did say he has improved but I think that answers your question.

The problem with too much height is the mids and flankers can be bomb it in. If some fast it can work but if not it makes it very easy for Weitering to get to the contest and get it to ground where smaller teams have the advantage.

Will be fascinating to see what happens - does Weitering go to Darcy and try and kill that threat (he is probably the best in the league for that job and just a fantastic player) or do they put Young to Darcy where he will be eaten alive but allow Weitering to have much more impact.

Assume they will start with a plan and then will probably depend a lot on how threatening Naughton is. He will likely have McGovern on him with a rotation to Silvagni. McGovern is very mobile and though smaller is fast and reads the play well a good match for Naughton but fast chaos ball to Naughtons area should favour Naughton.

So then the wildcard is the number three tall - whether that is JOD or Khamis - they will get Kemp. JUH or even a future version of Croft would kill him but I reckon Kemp would prefer Khamis to JOD - JOD is much more mobile and is using his height more and more - give him the first go and get him to run and create chaos. Both have kicked goals at this level. And we can swing both back and forwards if needed.

But….i reckon Sam Davidson will kick 3! He is just warming up!

At the other end of town.

Jones is back but likely short a run. Lobb has been fantastic but is much better with Jones beside him. Curnow is fast and has a great lead - I expect Jones will play on him - he is good that way and probably quicker than Lobb or Khamis.

Lobb can cover the taller Silvagni but also expect then to rotate the ruck forward if needed.

Assume their plan will be to beat us for speed - we have Dale (they will probably try and get him out of the game - with Friejah he is the sole distributor), Gags (playing better each week and is quick if not clean - as opposed to Duryea who looks to be carrying something so is clean but slow atm) and Bramble who is fast but seems to have lost his run and carry a bit - has started hesitating? And so they will try and have one extra fast small to our extra tall - lower eyes and spread so it is effectively - give Curnow space, Silvagni to decoy and swarm with smalls.

Their smalls aren’t great - but hope the plan is not as obvious as this and what Ros for them. This is one we need to win.

JOD forward is fine if its to negate Weitering, otherwise we are one tall heavy IMO.

Jones to Curnow, Buku to Kemp and Lobb on Silvagni + peeling off to intercept will be fine back there. Allows Williams back up to a wing also.

Dolan sub.
