This group started as a thread on the Carlton board, which pointed to a PM I started whereby anybody dealing with mental health issues or anybody working in the field could come together to share stories and support each other.
The catalyst was a couple of members going through such a tough period of time, they were questioning their very existence in a meaningful manner.
PMs tend to ebb and flow though, because invitee slots are limited, and we initially were just doing it for Carlton supporters, until recently when an opposition supporter requested an invitation into the PM.
Having a dedicated private group feels like the right move to expand and make this accessible for anyone on BigFooty.
Anybody who asks to join is asked to be respectful in dealing with others and ensure personal details about others are kept in thread.
