McKay dive was over the top. glad the ump ignored it and given his form, i'd like to see the AFL ban him for a week. How was that not 50 against Chol?
Shit, Ollie Wines has myocarditis.
That's disturbing.
I'm am sure the reactionaries on the other side will work it out soon but I fail to see how the AFL, the clubs and any employer generally can argue that it has discharged its non-delegable duty of care. There are some big payouts in the making of all of this.
Can't remember the last game of ours where we doubled the other team's score. Envious of Saints' performance today.
Doesn't have myocarditis so probably hold fire on AFL duty of care angle.
That's what was being reported.
It's not the only heart issue, by the way.
Whole discussion about it starting here:Did dodo consider bringing in Will Brodie at all?? he's had a good start to his time at Freo
Yep, there has been a number of current players, draftees etc that have had varying heart issues over a fairly lengthy period of time.
Yeah but if you ignore all them, no AFL player has had a heart issue pre-vaccine. Clearly a conspiracy.
I think most people's thoughts are "elite athlete can't have heart issues" and that isn't a horrendous take but there would be a higher incidence of heart troubles in AFL players vs their non sportsman age demographics purely because they are screened for it.
It would be great, if the science wasn't as settled as it is, so that this issue could be discussed.
But, you know, when you're on the censoring side of history, when have you ever been wrong?

We should disband the judicial system and replace it with fact checkers.
What exactly is it that you are trying to say?
That Wines does have myocarditis?
What does the judicial system have to do with assessing medical data?
Yes I agree it has been around for ages. You drive a car flat out all the time and you end up with engine problems…maybe the kids are training too muchHeart problems have been around forever. I was talking to Leigh Matthew's brother Calvin in the TAB just after he retired years ago and he said it was because of a dicky ticker.
I often marvel at the ease with which journalism graduates, bearing in mind I have looked at this specific fact check, have developed the ability to synthesis and test information it takes a judge, at least 2 adversarial parties, experts, a few years prep and a hearing to determine in the real world.
