The story is cool though
Agree with both your points, the story is cool but the indigenous jumpers is something we don't do that well. I think the colours and stripe requirements don't bode well to aboriginal art work, which tends to use more earthy colours. Not sure what the solution is to make something better that still looks like a collingwood jumper.

You're mixing him up with Ron Jeremy
If you're mixing, this is the rum (ron in Spanish) that you need.

Like all art it goes in trends but there’s plenty of awesome black and white pieces out there. I feel it may be more of a image/marketing/brand thing on our part of being stubborn with our black and white stripes as the it’s clearly the most recognisable uniform in Australia sport.

no interest in discussing something that is irrelevant to the argument. not to mention that it will just clog up the thread with back and forth that no one cares about

I think it is pretty germane to the discussion. Everyone would like for someone to identify some substance in “the dossier”. Don’t go missing on a clog up defence. It’s big footy softie. The whole thing is clog.

Why do we always have the lamest and plainest indigenous jumpers, sigh

They could be so good and dissappoint every year. The year they design a good one I'll buy one.

Unless you’re a passionate Collingwood supporter …

… designing Collingwood’s indigenous guernsey is unlikely to be the dream gig of many indigenous artists at the moment.

It’s not as if we’ve currently got the best of reputations.

Sure, you and I and everyone here is across the great work we’ve done with the Do Better report. But for many outsiders we’re the club of Eddie McGuire who racially vilified Adam Goodes. Half the population probably doesn’t even know or care that Ed is not our President any more.

I wonder what process they use to select the artist and their work?

Around August last year the club put an announcement on their website for indigenous artists to submit designs for the next two years. (I forwarded the link onto one indigenous art organisation I‘ve done work with before, dunno if they followed through with it). But then what happens? How was the selection made?

I wonder if the club has thought about getting this bloke involved in some way? Judging / promotion / etc?

He’s a named contemporary artist who seems to have worked in indigenous communities. Even the community that Collingwood is aligned with! (Tennant Creek)
