Add Hardwick to the list of spuddy small defenders that tried to rough him up with no success

Once the rain came, it became really contested and the Hawks were stronger. Our mids and forwards struggled, but it was a great effort for them to get over the line - required a couple of moments of brilliance. Up forward, Elliott's contest is really important and a shame we've seen so little of Kreuger's bullocking.Lol there were people right there in stopped play on many occasions.
You notice how when the rain came and the game became more physical we went to water for over a quarter while Hawks ran down the deficit then got in front.
The team needs toughening up over the coming seasons, we hung in there got out the back for a good goal from degoey and then kept the pressure on with henry's goal but hawks also dropped off in intensity in the last.
Great sign to hang in there then kill the clock with our exp defenders but yeah dogs game, Hawks q3 imo along with many games where they let teammates get manhandled hopefully gets worked on.
Correct weightThe club must go to the AFL this week armed with footage and demand to know why the umpires are applying different rules when Ginnivan is involved. It was a disgrace the way Ginnivan was treated today. Even at the end there Hardwick had his hands on his throat and that is an automatic free yet the ump simply ignored it as if to suggest Jack asked for it.
I think the officiating umpire saw it the same as you. I suspect that the umpire who paid it thought they were coming to the footy from much different angles than they were.Talking about free kick... I just watched the Moore one three times and I can't se the free.
Moore was to the ball first and the Hawks player later. Anyone explain it to me please?
It was Hardwick. It may have been the same bit of play, but there was also a moment in that last quarter where he was wrestled near a stoppage for nothing and the ump basically did a ball up right on top of him while he was being kept on the ground by a hawks bloke

its strange how that st. kilda jockey soils himself every week with david king regarding all their critical stats stuff.....and yet he blurts out that ginnivan is ducking and diving and he provides no evidence at all. He didn't show once when jack dived or ducked.
i've lost all respect for the man.... the wee man... He's lost all credibility with me
"Is this the reputation that he wants to have going forward as an AFL player?".... Leigh Montagna....
People in darkened Bayside houses....

I thought Darcy probably wasn't even aware the Hawthorn player was just behind him, didn't really take his legs out from under him, and that it was a very strange decision for sure!!I think the officiating umpire saw it the same as you. I suspect that the umpire who paid it thought they were coming to the footy from much different angles than they were.
Darc slid in first to cover the ball and rush it through, Hawthorn player came second BEHIND Darcy and got a free kick. Mind boggling.Talking about free kick... I just watched the Moore one three times and I can't se the free.

David King tore him apart after that. Made him look extremely stupidLeigh Montagna is an idiot. Has no idea. Still sore about 2010.
What complete and utter garbage.Wouldn't worry too much. Soon enough the opposition won't bother going for the initial tackle and Ginni will either get done for staging or pinged for holding the ball when he instinctively dives forward. He has to alter his game because right now it's free kick or nothing.

Let the kid develop.
Milne is 10cm shorter, so he’s always going to be more quick and nimble. Let’s not forget that he hadn’t even debuted until he was about 21, whereas Jacks here with 20 games under his belt as a 19 year old
Whether the free kick is there or not, Ginni instinctively lurches forward when he's tackled, throwing himself off balance. He doesn't plant his feet and stand up in the tackle, giving himself no opportunity to dish off the ball to a team mate. It's an all or nothing play. What complete and utter garbage.
ridiculous, you ought learn the rules over the shoulder 100 out 100 every time.No free is the correct call, just a shame they let Selwood get away with it for 13 years.
We all know he is.I think it's pretty obvious to anyone with more than one eye that Ginnivan is playing for frees.
that is what it should have been paid for, if over the shoulder is illegal then that 100% a free .In the 2nd pic he's already over the shoulder... Geez!
Which is irrelevant. It's the umpires job to blow the whistle on free kicks, not to determine whether or not there's a loophole in the rules that is being exploited and to try to make examples of individual players.I think it's pretty obvious to anyone with more than one eye that Ginnivan is playing for frees.
