This is the way
I mean, how hard is it to arrange an early October wedding? Or November? November is a beautiful month full of spring...hint of summer in the air ...kids today!

my richmond following uncle set the bar pretty low with an earpiece in during a family wedding back in the seventies........that being the case, I'm wondering if I could go to the game and listen to the wedding remotely? thoughts?

In this post-covid world working/entertaining/celebrating remotely is ALL the rage apparently

Sure. Set up zoom and give the occasional wave and nod. Deliver speech to coincide with half time break. Get crowd involved...
No brainer!

Just set up like this guy - you'll be sweet

Miss 8yo was home sick today. We wanted her to do something other than sit on devices (which she did plenty of)...

She made some cute lego for mrsb and decided on a craft project for daddy....

Only enough foam pieces for 16-a-side, so must have been a reserves match during COVID. It was against the WBD, so we won. Pretty sure...

Explain to her a rectangle is not a centre square....
Her ideas of arcs are not up to scratch either.

Oh. “foam pieces”
I initially assumed they were wine bottle corks 😉

Your daughter, I owe an apology....

In 1966, Ron Barassi and Bill Stephen trialled a new and dramatic concept: The centre rectangle. The idea was to keep players away from the midfield during centre bounces, so that their followers had room to clear the ball. This was officially proposed in August that year, according to the Canberra times

1966
June 2: Flick pass outlawed. Ball had to be struck with a clenched fist.
Centre rectangle (45m x 27m) experiment used by coaches Ron Barassi (Carlton) and Bill Stephen (Fitzroy).

Neither Wifey or I drink much alcohol.

But if home schooling had continued any longer we might have ended up at AA...

I can remember the centre diamond. Even had a footy game that featured it.

I can’t remember squares, diamonds or circles.
Usually just a sticky black mud bog in the dead of winter and in the “drier” weather, ruts that you could break an ankle in.
Drop in pitches has done a lot more for the quality of football than it has for cricket.

My cousin got married on grand final day a few years ago. I didn't go

Proud of you. Your cousin was being incredibly selfish and only thinking of him/herself.

So the mid season AA team sees Cripps on the bench behind Bailey Smith on the ground……..interesting.

My thoughts are that marketing slogans are meant to get people talking and create interest. That years slogan was clearly one of the best as people are still triggered by it 13 years later.
Wasn’t there a slogan something about ‘do you know what they’re cooking or
Can you smell what they’re cooking
I don’t know
But it was a pretty cray slogan
