I would read the hell out of a forensic investigative feature on Collective Minds. Something that went beyond the camp.

Most people know there's a lot of quackery in the self help industry. But there's got to be a fascinating yarn in how a "high-performance leadership consultancy" mob that runs cult-like camps - where the dignity of people who've survived hardship is attacked in horrible ways - also have the Reserve Bank and ASX200 companies like AMP and NAB as their clients.

They weren't quick enough to edit the testimonials on their website...

‘Wooden Spooners to equal 8th.’

What a ******* Cinderella story that is.
$12m in debt and a single flag in your clubs history... I mean, you have to celebrate certain achievements

also, is it known how involved heath younie was with this?
It seems he was a bystander with Pyke but supported the program. Either way I reckon it’s irrelevant as he was a Noble disciple and won’t last the cleanout end of year.

His efforts with the forward line have been nothing short of abysmal.

Man tries to run it like some pre 2000's junk that has a large vocal point that does half of the marking inside 50 goal kicking instead of spreading it out like all other good teams do nowadays.

I wonder will people look back and consider the Buddy to Sydney move to be a success? I guess he brought in my members, but ultimately failed to take that club to a flag when they fancied themselves multiple times in this 8 year period.

Over the course of Buddy’s contract,
  • the Swans turnover rose by $12 million a year,
  • club membership increased by 70 per cent,
  • Home crowds went up 15 per cent.

Not exactly worth sneezing at those kind of figures.

The Crows are an absolute disgrace.

Listening to Josh Jenkins on the road crying at what he went through.

Heath Younie was part of the camp, he should be removed from our club immediately.

I don’t care what role Younie played in that he should be sacked tomorrow on the spot for allowing what went on. I’m filthy at the club for actually employing him in this instance.

I don’t think Younie, Pyke or any other coach or administrators that supported/allowed it to happen/swept it under the rug should be allowed to hold any roles within the AFL or at club level.

Weak-knee’d cowards like that should have no place in this game.

Yep I used to be pretty sympathetic as just a consultant gone wrong but now after what has been revealed, in my eyes there's genuine culpability.

I guess that's a net positive. I'm happy they didn't get another flag though.

Be interesting to see those figures with life after Buddy.

Listened to it live.

Unbelievable.

The culture of self-help quackery movement was always going to end in absolute disaster.
Exactly, we got sucked in with the leading teams malarkey. No one would ever pay out of their own money for such rentseeking events however they thrive on corporate funds.

We have Ford, Taylor, TT, JHF, Curtis, Sleevo, LDU, Jed, Jy, hopefully Zurhaar and Ziebell or Greenwood at a pinch. Surely with that many mobile (cept the last two) forwards you could build some sort of decent attacking structure that didn't focus everything on one KPF?

only one bloke, like juddy at carlton and GAJ at suns.
hardly on them the lack of success.

A Noble disciple, but also the line coach of the most dysfunctional line in the most dysfunctional team in the AFL. His performance in the last two years has been appalling.

But it wouldn't matter if he was Phil Jackson, Alex Ferguson, Bill Belichick and Norm Smith all rolled into one. His involvement and support of this program is mind-boggling bad. All who devised, supported and covered up that program should be drummed out of whatever role they have in the AFL.
