The 3rd to 4th year money is not an issue because by then Pendles, Sidebottom and Howe money is off the books

- Hawks move him on and free up the salary

- Mitchell gets guaranteed midfield minutes and a contract extension

- Pies get the additional elite extractor they need and for a reasonable price

I would say Mitchell will improve our clearance numbers, more than what Grundy would.

I imagine GW knows the Mitchell contract inside out lol

Mitchell I would say has been over paid for most of his career. I remember at the Swans he was already on a bloody good wicket before he had really established himself. So maybe now is the time he takes a hair cut etc

Some posters wouldn't be satisfied if we managed to secure God as our CHF on a fairly modest contract. The fact that he would forever be available for selection and would immediately heal any injuries he might sustain still wouldn't persuade them he was worth recruiting.
