The AFL doesn’t seem to be presenting much of a case to challenge our claim it wasn’t intentional.
They're going in on the "raking motion" as their big sell.

I am not sure how a raking motion is meant to insinuate it's intentional. You can flail and accidently make a "raking motion" in a careless manner.

Anderson (Lions): Berry is grappling to get his opponent off him, he's in a vulnerable position, his hand is in that region because that's the only spot where he can push ... there's no way you can say he's looking at the eye region of Oliver.

Was it just me or did Oliver bite Jarrod's fingers before the alleged eye gouge

Footage looks like he does but isn't conclusive. Making that claim would almost certainly create issues for us because it would need to be put to Oliver and Oliver would deny it. No strategic purpose to include it.

Anderson (Lions): This is a much quicker, shorter, briefer moment in which contact has occurred to the relevant region and we dispute it is a raking motion.

Keeping it real simple, I agree.
The bloke would've had hypoxia, left in life threatening situation and passed out - what should he do ?

Anderson (Lions): Berry had, at very best, a very limited view of Oliver's eyes. If you look at where his eyes are facing, he's not looking towards there.

When does Gary Lyon get called for his input?

He's the reason we are here in the first place.

The way he was egging Buckley and Riewoldt in fox commentary was despicable.

He was so wound up he couldn't even sit still and was going mad, nodding furiously and making sure Nick says what he wants to hear.

he should goddamn remember to keep his fingers un-curled, make sure to only push him off by the neck. Also don't worry how hard you push/punch/karate chop at the neck because the neck is apparently perfectly fine being the target of aggression.
