I am looking at it like this Bedders.

The team has given us what we have all been asking for thus far.
Right now we gone as high as we possibly could. The prelim! after tonight we judge again but right now we should all be excited & enjoying the day.
These days are too rare as an AFL supporter so we should soak it up.
Enjoy the day folks.
Go Bloods.
This:trophy: is within reach.
Yep. I’m healthy, there’s food on the table, I love my wife and kids, AND I’M GOING TO SEE MY TEAM IN AN EFFING PRELIM!!!

Currently in hospital on a drip in ED since midday. Unless I can somehow configure the vital signs monitor for commercial TV it looks like I'll be following the game on the Game Day post. Good luck everybody. Can't be bothered with radio noise today.
Wishing you all the best, and hopefully you are soon out ED.
You can view the scores and stats on AFL web site Match day

Dad's a Pies supporter. Doesn't care about football until the Pies are winning so he has been insufferable all week

I'm nervous. Statistically we are better. We proved it. De Goey is good but not 5 goals better. Our pressure is better. Our defense is better. Our ball movement is better. We can be better for longer. We are at home. Head says we should win. Heart is a bundle of nerves.

All that said. If we are gonna lose 1 more time this year, I would rather it be today than next week
Beating the pies and our youngsters all making a GF and losing a much better outcome than losing today.
We'll make a real game of the GF I reckon - could even win, but I reckon the pies would get battered.

We'll be up by under 5 points with 2 minutes to go & we'll kick a controversial goal in this time to win by 8-11 points.
We won't hear about how well we played but how the umps & AFL stitched up the Pies.

Well one can only hope.
We'll win by 8 - 16 points.
May our boys all stay fit.
I'd much rather win by 6 goals so that the media can acknowledge how good WE are and not spend all their time about how unlucky Collingwood were.

Sorry to hear that and hope all ok?

7 day Kayo trial on the phone an option?

Interesting listening to crunch time on SEN when Cameron who was analyzing the game stated that Sydney should in theory win this game by 5-6 goals. Within half a second Whateley comes in with "but they won't". God, he hates the Swans. No wonder Longmire refuses to go on any of his shows. Good on ya Horse.

That was Dermy who said that actually.

Would it not be better to scrape through today and only have the media praise us when we beat Geelong by 50+ points?

You can tell me , would happy to be there
The local girls are hot.

Get well!

We've heard this said in different ways from different people at the club a lot lately. They've obviously had a huge amount of self belief all year.

I've heard both Longmire and Harley respond to Journos asking if they were surprised with our form or if we are ahead of schedule basically saying no... we knew we were good enough.

Personally I always thought this year would be a stepping stone to a tilt in 2023 but they've proven me wrong. We're good enough right now.

When you look back on our losses this season they've basically all been occasions where we probably got ahead of ourselves. Every major challenge or big game with high stakes the team has passed with flying colours.

Collingwood and Geelong are the only teams left in our way and we have their measure.

yes, you've pretty much summed it up ... we really have lifted against most of the top sides
let c'wood, and then geelong, worry about how to stop us
