Then when musing about others he mentioned Harley and Maxwell were great captains also…

So let me just provide a little perspective. Pendles took over the captaincy of an excellent footy team. He has been a great player, but in a decade has taken his team to 1 …. Yes, 1…. Grand final. Which they lost. And he played poorly.

Cotchin took over captaincy of a team that hadn’t made finals in 12-years. They made finals in his first season as skipper. Then we all know about the 3 x losing EF and the debacle of 2016. Then his change in leadership style and his willingness to show vulnerability was an absolute catalyst in leading his team to 3 x flags.

So as captain he led the team to its first finals series in 12-years, its first finals win in 16-years, its first Grand Final in 35-years and its first Premiership in 37-years …. oh, and a dynasty.

But yeah, Pendles who hasn’t led his excellent team to any silverware is a better captain.

Good to see Lloydy is able to park his personal biases against Richmond/Cotchin and analyse things objectively.

It seems a very odd position to be part of a board that appoints a panel to conduct a process and recommend a new coach, and then when they do, to think you knew better all along. I am not fully across this but sure Sheedy’s board position is close to untenable now?

Anyone remember the AA discussions from a few weeks back? How Tom Stewart deserved a place despite missing 5 games as he was soooo dominant in games he played .? But Lynch didn’t?

Was I the only one who chuckled when Lynch won our B&F and Stewart came a distant 10th for the Cats?

At least I can now say with confidence that his AA selection was a joke.

well! my take is that he - and the other accused - haven't been given natural justice. and it now seems the accusers don't want 2 face having their accusations tested by the proposed inquiry. seems reasonable source of concern 2 me.

Well not yet of course. At this point there are only allegations (made by people with nothing to gain I note).
