If we were any good this year we’d be one of those 6 top teams.
The sad part is that they can't even do that. Melb ran all over them in the last - we were the ones who were spent!
I'd love to see the amount of time Duffy spent on the ground compared to some of the Freo players who had worse games than her. And then compare their fitness levels. There's no substitute for a footballer in the game of football - we've got 3 or 4 max imo.
That's true but we lost more players than came in.

In the WA draft the eagles had the top 3 picks plus the 4 mature age players.
If we had Ebony A we would most likely beaten the Dogs and Blues which would have given us a 3-3 record.
The AFL excluding us from a draft in completion essentially is nuts. Can’t believe the Eagles had such access, mature players and the best young talent. Not that it would have mattered today.
If Scanlon signed with the dirty birds making the 5th mature age player it would have been worse.

We took Kaufmann from Tennis (Cuthbo too but Kauf was this year)
We need to go fully Collingwood from here on out. Play on, play on, play on and play on some more. Swarm the ball and the opposition, lots of hard running, tackling and ferocious attack on the contest.
Say it all day and every day ending with a y, skills is a furphy. It's decision making that's the issue. We have a lot of inexperience and that tells over 4 quarters. But simplify the range of decisions they have to make and weighting the decisions driving the gameplan towards direct and fast attack will help inexperienced players get it ingrained faster.

This is an insane take for a first year player. Generally fits in the category of perceptions and expectations being totally out of whack for AFLW players.
She was a mature ager not an 18 year old...

She's 21, but a newcomer.
And played all of 4 games or so at the level. Be interesting how many games in her whole life too. Crazy early for any definitive judgements on potential at this stage.
