This comes after he had a role in deciding the Draft Assistance package awarded to his former club and this writer believes that the situation exposes a clear conflict of interest that has the potential to provoke a fresh integrity enquiry into the beleaguered AFL.

In another post I suggested that as a recent former North coach he had a conflict of interest in this decision about draft assistance. Irrespective of the outcome for North, he should have excused himself. There is no indication from him or the AFL that he did. It now emerges that at the time he was most likely in conversations about coaching a rival club. Irrespective of which club, that is a terrible look. AFL and integrity...never in the same sentence.

On the back of the news that JHF wants out.
Surely the Priority Pick decision from AFL house needs to be reviewed ?
Brad led the PP application whilst he was in discussions to coach a rival AFL club.
There was already a huge conflict of interest involved.
Had it been known in the media last week that JHF (our number 1 pick) wanted out, we would have been looking at pick 1 and pick 2 this year.
Surely the draft is severely compromised if rival clubs can pry no 1 picks away from a bottom of the table club after only 1 season.
Should Brady and Sonja be walking our 2023 priority picks back to AFL house and demanding a review of the fairness of this decision ?

Our 11th straight loss of 47+ points and our 45th loss in 52 games. Without doubt the lowest point in the last 50 years of our club’s great history.

There may be more 100 point losses to come, but I think after the previous seven weeks, and especially today, we have plenty of reason to believe that the worst is over.
