Gill, stepping down from the AFL to be our CEO.

Saw Gil at a red light on King’s way the other day, bloke’s legs are that long he was in an SUV and still looked like he was in a clown car with his knees around his chin.

I for one am greatly comforted by the letter of support.
Am sure Kyle Reimers would be first to put his hand up.

Listening to BJ on trade news talk about Barham. The crux of the story is BJ is all about what Barham has done and that’s it’s been absolutely necessary to make the hard decisions. Has admitted he hasn’t been perfect in execution but absolutely supports what he’s done.
Well BJ would know what a good spill looks like, I guess.

I'm afraid this deal, more than anything, exemplifies the blinkers certain people in our football department have. This is the fourth time we have tried to get Setterfield (if you count serious consideration with pick 1 in 2016).

Admittedly, I would have welcomed him when he left GWS and was even open to it last year. Now, it just feel like we have no ideas.

Still, none of that is Setterfield's fault, though perhaps he could have put us out of our misery in 2018.

He's a rounded player without ever having shown at AFL level that he is the bull that we'd hope he is at 192cm. Who knows, maybe he has been kept light to play wing over the last few years. I quite liked what I saw of him in 2020.

I'd like him as part of 3 mids brought on to the list. He is probably not the 1 I would pin my hopes to. Hope I'm wrong.
The difference this year being we’ve never had less leverage than we do now.

No one wants to come here, let’s just take what we can get.

It depends who you are after.

In any event, our problem is not the CEO's office or even the way Rutten was treated. It is the football department. Carlton had the same turmoil last year and brought in Hewett and Cerra.

I mean we had a go at other players and missed; Bowes & Harmes for example.

Sometimes being a club in a shit position means you miss out and take what you can get, a fringe midfielder coming to their third club for peanuts.

LOL.

They had a shambles of a board challenge in order to chase a coach who was never going to say yes to them? Left their incumbent coach hanging the way we did? Appointed and then parted ways with a controversial CEO who was eviscerated by a royal commission?

That sort of turmoil?

LOL.

And still missed finals.

Not exactly jealous of their 2021 off-season

LOL.

They tortured Teague and made him do the exit interviews. That's worse than coaching the year out.

LOL.

They chased Clarkson and failed.

LOL

They basically appointed Lyon only for it to be undone in the back room and then put together a coaching panel to appoint the only experienced guy available.

LOL.

An enticing picture of stability and good governance.

LOL

Their 2021 off-season was a shambles but everything we’ve done has been like a dialled up version of that. They’re not the same.

At yet, we were/are more of a shambles than they were.

In the extended clip, Dyson turns around with a bit of a wtf expression. I’m with Goddard on that one.

Dyson was probably thinking about how many he could save under the 2 second rule...
