Won't stop me if the campaigner keeps giving us four word summaries.

Get lose if we loose.

But he would have to spend time defending him as he is dangerous. Cumberland is very quick and aggressive as well, but I'm sure it will be a team defence in our forward half not just left to one bloke.
They'll free up Saad too use his run.
Be stupid too use Saad in any other capacity.
Bit like how we use to do it with Houli and now Rioli

Yeah they would just change the match up
Silly to even think one player would match up against one especially since we aren’t talking about key position guys

Yes they will, but like all backs they still have to mind a man at some stage. Be it Bolton, Martin, Cumberland etc.MRJ's defensive work will be important. Richmond will be well aware of Saad's rebound, but they will likewise be wary of our forward line, the highest scoring line in the league last year.

Hope Hardwick has ditched the Cotchin experiment up forward, play him off the bench
Into the guts as a impact player, cats did it perfectly with Selwood, can't see why we can't do the same.
I really believe Cotchin up forward can be a success. We’re so worried about our forward pressure up top but good luck trying to get the ball out of 50 if it ever hits the deck with Cotchin around the ball. If he doesn’t win it, good luck trying to move it cleanly with Rioli chasing you down.

Let's see if it works first before canning it. I'm sure he will get a good dose of both.

Would love to see Cotchin b-line some 50-50 balls against bruise free back like he does mid's. That will be where he will have an impact I think, nobody beats Cotchin in disputed ground balls.

Richmond pair Dion Prestia and Jayden Short look set for the Tigers' season opener against Carlton at the Melbourne Cricket Ground this Thursday night.

After recovering well from their respective pectoral and calf injuries sustained in Richmond's practice match against Melbourne, the duo are on track for Round 1 providing they get through Wednesday's Captain Run at the Swinburne Centre.

Also available for selection are Jack Graham, who missed the Tigers' pre-season clashes due to a toe issue, Marlion Pickett, who has overcome an adductor injury, and Jack Ross, who suffered a left medial ligament strain at training at the beginning of the month.

Robbie Tarrant (hip) and Ivan Soldo (foot) are among those who will unavailable for the clash with the Blues.

Richmond's Round 1 side will be announced at 6.20pm on Wednesday night at richmondfc.com.au.

I'm a little relieved that Soldo is unavailable. I had a bad feeling he was going to he named.

Short and Pickett if over their injuries will be fully fit as they've done nearly all pre season. I think theres only one spot for Ross and Graham so not a huge deal if one player is a little under done.

Only Tarrant and Gibcus unavailable best22 players, Young/Miller to cover one

Soldo missing, probably means Ryan/Miller play that 2nd ruck

Graham, Ross & Pickett probably come through the VFL, Wouldn’t mind Pickett as the sub (needs to get 100games no matter what)

Interesting selections tomorrow for sure
