Could it be that having to travel interstate 3 times in the last 4 weeks has impacted Melbourne so much today?...

Their opponents Essendon on the other hand, are today outside of Victoria for the first time this year.


The impact of travel on the competition needs to be better acknowledged and managed.


It will be interesting to see how both Collingwood and GWS go in their respective matches tomorrow, as they are also facing a second week of interstate travel in succession.
