Priddis is still in ripping shape and could easily come in and get a lazy 40.
Would be an interesting idea, could see him helping our younger mids quite a bit and they'd obviously learn a lot.
Think he was probably another one who was pushed out the door when he didn't want to be so dunno if there's still some animosity towards the club from that

I would hope not.
For all his faults at AFL level he won a Brownlow and carried our midfield through a pretty dark time, gave absolutely everything to the club.

Shame we can't get him involved with the training/mids as came from the Judd/Cousin/Kerr era of absolute professionalism in your prep. Something our clubs been lacking for a long time now. (although last off season gives me hope it's changing)

This might not be news to some but I heard on some podcasts this week that the Beagles salary cap is $25k and every other team in the WAFL is $250k

It’s not that low, it’s about half I believe. It works out on ratios per/game/season pending on how many AGL listed players play for the Eagles and then how many points those players are worth.
Remember that none of the WAFK clubs have full professional listed footballers ever available to play for them.
If the Eagles had the same salary cap it would be a joke.

What's Peels setup? That seems like the best of both worlds

The alignment works very similar. Peel also have a salary cap of about half the WAFL clubs. I will do some homework and try and find out exactly.

In case you're interested, I think it was Schoeys Back Chat podcast with Hammer Brayshaw where he mentioned the 25k salary cap. He signed a $0 contract to play (they offered to kick him something).

Hammer works for the club and Schoey has only recently left, so I would expect their knowledge to be pretty bang on, and not the sort of thing they'd go public with if they hadn't fact checked or were sure.

the total of the marquee allowance and the five nominated players comes to $68,000 without any other payments to other players.

Just a one-off game for Kane Mitchell

Is captain coach of Quairading who have a bye this weekend enabling him to play

He has no connection to the club that I know of so it’s a great gesture from him to help out as there’s no real benefit for him
