Well, what a game that was. Snatching victory from defeat on the final buzzer. But from the player perspective, we didn't turn up our toes when down by 4 goals in that last quarter, and had the fortitude to kick those 4 goals. Who deserves your votes? Looking at the stats for the season to date, Green and Cogs are very influential. Green is 4th for disposals and 6th for effective disposals (on averages, due to his one game suspension); Cogs is 8th and 17th in those stats (so has more ineffective disposals pro-rata than Green); Kelly is 15th and 11th in those stats (so less ball but more effective in disposal). So notwithstanding team disposals, those 3 mids are actually highly rated on an individual basis (ignoring some of the intracacies of defining an "effective disoposal"). However, Cogs is equal 6th in score involvements (Green is 19th and Kelly way down in 97th), so when Cogs gets involved, he's highly influential in getting a score on the board.

The only man better for Giants: Toby Greene - 3rd for score involvements (behind Jezza and Charlie).

For me, it's a balance of grunt work and zip away from the contest, and sometimes hard to tell who's most important (chicken and egg question at times). The other thing in the Swans game that got Perryman votes for me; when he went forward in 4th quarter (replacing Cads with Rowston going into the middle), he kicked two goals, which justified Kingsley's move.

But great point to make about Cogs. I think we're sometimes a bit hard on him because of outside noise maybe?
