No Chance ? So have you ever thought the coaching panel might consider Buddy 2023 version might offer just as much as our 3 Superstar forwards McClean,
Amartey & McDonald ? He would have kicked 10 last week against that opposition so don't get carried away that these 3 are taking us to the promised land any time soon they played crash test dummies.
No he wouldn't have.

Surprised Dangerfield is okay to play - thought for sure he'd need a week or more.
Surely we target him. If he's named to play he's up for grabs.

Reckon Danger will play up forward? And there's no way he had a collapsed lung.
He explained it as just not fully inflating, it's the technical term for it, not the literal extreme version.

I think I agree. I consider myself blessed to have watched the great Buddy Franklin work his magic so many times in a Swans jersey, but the forwards structure and teamwork last weekend was something I haven’t seen for several years when Bud is on deck. Hope he sticks around for the rest of the season in case one of the youngsters get injured, but I see the makings of a great forward lineup taking shape, and its time is now.

Not interested in anything you have to say. Very low football IQ.

Put me on ignore then. Otherwise I'll continue to give my opinions on a public forum. If you think Buddy would kick 10 in his current state then you're deluded.

On top of that the side itself would have kicked significantly less goals as Buddy would have drawn more entries.

Weather still looking mint.
So in a weather analogy.

This is the Swans Forward line leading patterns when Buddy is playing.
Predictable.

This was their leading patterns when Amartey, Logan, McLean and Heeney were forward.

McCartin in means one of the back 6 has to go. If Melican is dropped then I feel for him as he's done everything right. Francis can't catch a ball down back to save his life atm and his hands worry me against a team like the Cats.

Sheldrick stays in, no changes in the midfield. Buddy stays out, and in truth Papley is so out of form he should be dropped to the twos to get his touch back.
Which means either Hayward comes in, whose goal kicking radar has also gone missing, not sure I'm a fan of that. Which leaves a spot up forward maybe.

agree with that ... i can't see any argument for dropping sheldrick
but i don't think they'll drop papley ... his form is down but he was very close to a big game last week, things just didn't go right ... most importantly, he was busy trying to get involved
i think francis's problem is confidence but i would also back melican, i still think he's someone we should persist with and he'll keep steadily improving

McLean has been good but I'd count on buddy to have a bigger influence on the match. Tough on McLean who has done everything you'd want but it's a must win match. I'm not interested in building the chemistry of the future, I'm interested in winning this game.

we can win this game without franklin
we can win it with him, too, but he's no longer the difference maker

Yeah I know Buddy hasn't exactly been great this year, but the other 3 haven't exactly dominated games either.

There's a gulf the size of Stewart Dews arse crack between the expectations some have of those 3 and the current reality.

I'm not against the 3 of them getting selected ahead of Franklin right now because like it or not, they'll probably be our forward line next year, but on this years form alone Franklin isn't any less deserving of a starting 22 spot than the rest.

The question is is a tall forward line that includes him more likely to win. I think it is because he puts on more pressure and is more able to score goals than at least McLean is.

Armatey has shown great glimpses but he is also yet to probably play more than a good 20 minute patch in a game .

Hopefully he stays injury free and builds a tank

I said he reminded me of Jesse White and it wasn't an insult, I think White never got near what he could have been

geez ... i was a big fan of white ... to a point
he had all the physical attributes and a lot of skill but seemed to have almost no football brain, or he just didn't "love the game" enough
there seems more hunger to amartey, looks like he wants to throw himself, make an impact

Combine Whites body with Rowbottom’s heart and yeah, you have a footballer.

Without that, he was just a mirage.

What pressure does Buddy put on?

Did feel for Paps last week, was in everything only to have not a single thing work no matter how hard he tried:sadv1:

Could not have said it better MF.

Buddy probably kicks 4 or 5 against the Eagles. I can see him offering more than say McLean up forward, however with Amartey getting back to fitness, I think we need McLean for the backup ruckwork, he's doing his role well enough.

Once Amartey is considered able to be the only backup ruck, Buddy is an option. Amartey himself isn't going to be dropped off his game vs the Eagles, and the extension announcement.
