This should really make people feel a lot better about us 'missing out'.

If he's finishing behind Jack Grandpa Ziebell in the best and fairest; and behind players that have missed half the season, then we should feel very good about not out-bidding Essendon and Sydney for this guy.

I would love a forward and a back that is big, strong, solid, reliable. Happy to pay a bit extra for it. But Not marquee player dollars.

Another huge give away is that I'd find it hard to believe a player (or his agent) announcing they want to move to a specific team that is still alive in season. If true then just imagine how any respective Collingwood players would feel about likely losing their position next season when they still have a prelim and maybe a GF still to play.
