Yesterday I sat in the car waiting while my wife respectfully stalked and got selfies after training with a bunch of players - lucky it was a nice afternoon by the Yarra. She figured it’s all only going to get more nuts during the week so it was too good a chance to miss.

One day she can do all the same for me (as we get ready for Collingwood’s sixth/seventh-if-you-count-the-draw-replay grand final since North’s last one…).
My mum supports Collingwood, and was born in the last years of ww2. Since before ww2, specifically since 1936 (ie their last flag before ww2) they've won four GFs. AS many as us since ww2. LOL.

In that time they've played 21 GFs counting the two replays.

So historically the odds are against them. I hope they win. My mum will be 80 next year. This might be the last chance she has to see them in a GF or at least see them win one. But the odds are against them as they struggle to win GFs. There is every chance that you'll see a flag before she does.

Collingwood - 7 out of last 8 games night games and one twilight. Coming into a day GF with 29dg forecast v a team used to the heat.

🤔 mmmmmm..........eerily similar...........
Brisbane’s last day game was R17 in early July. I think familiarity with the MCG is more of a differentiator than familiarity with sunlight.

Well good luck Darcy 🤍💙

Darcy must have been the only one of our players not in Bali.

As for Ned Moyle competing... Hmmm!

Maybe Clarko will be at the finish line... once Ned eventually gets there!

Brisbane 15 points Charlie Cameron

In a bit of bad luck, my usual viewing partners are interstate. Gonna settle in at the Coburg RSL for the day I think, one of Melbourne's truly great venues.
