We’ve straight swapped Dawson for Teakle.

I’d suggest we’re gonna look at triple towers again.

As many have suggested Stevenson and Ford swap in the sub role.

Our metrics for this week should be

• pressure over 200 across the game
• keep them under 100 points

If by some miracle we won this I would likely need to take the Monday off.

Think your key to success is getting a clear forward 50, sucking our defenders up the field, and creating space for Larkey to do his thing. He has shown he can kick 5-6 against us.

Saying the other side is “gettable” sounds like you think the specific opponents probably aren’t good enough to beat you - Steven May sentiment, if you will - and that’s not the same thing.

It’s amusing more than anything else coming from Chom, though.

I think you can read it different ways.

As a result, Comben labelled sixth-placed Collingwood ‘very gettable’ for North as they continue battling with injuries with all of Jordan De Goey, Scott Pendlebury, Brody Mihocek, Jamie Elliott and Dan McStay sidelined among others.

“I think it's going to carry a lot of confidence into this week,” Comben said.

“We traditionally play quite well against Collingwood in the last three years.

“They've got a few injuries and whatnot, so I feel like they're really, really gettable for us this week.

“All the boys will go into the game really genuinely believing we can win, which I think will be huge for how we're going to play on the weekend.”

You could read it that he doesn't rate the players coming in... or, if you are charitable, you can say that he thinks players like Pendlebury, De Goey, etc are significantly losses not just on talent but leadership and structure and it doesn't take a lot to disrupt a side's balance. No side really carries that calibre of talent, leadership and experience in the reserves.

If he thought we were a chance to beat a team with their best squad playing then it would be silly to think that someone wouldn't believe they were a greater chance of winning if they were missing some critical players. I don't think he needs to spell that out to people. Sorry player X or Y, you are just not a Pendlebury or De Goey so I think you are easier to beat than when you are full strength.
