Watched the highlights (went for 1 hour) nearly out 1st ball, should've been caught early on, then dropped (sitter) in the 30's.
We were 7-90 then won 7- 293. Maxwell hurt his leg and basically didn't run for his last 100 runs, couldn't bend so was squatting and belting everything thing. Made me smile watching it

Kiwi commentator was so torn last night.

Wanted to give it to Aus because of the rivalry/it was Australia losing.

Had been asleep but woke up at 1 and checked the score, seeing 7-91. But some part of me sensed that this would happen. That Maxy would pull off a Stokes like, lone-hand match winning effort.
So I stayed up and witnessed an innings I'll never forget.

Whatever he does for the rest of his career, this was Maxy's moment. Stood up when it mattered most and secured a semi final spot, and kept us out of the logjam.

A great innings no doubt but still behind Viv Richards’ 189 not out against England in 1984 for best ODI knock I’ve seen, back in the days when boundaries were actually the fence and bats were half the size.

He was on 96 when the ninth wicket fell that day, the most extraordinary innings I’ve ever seen.
