Would suspect that's more of a public perception hit than the verdict itself. Is for me anyway,

Very foolish move to appeal it in my opinion. There will be a lot of people who will condemn them very harshly for taking this action, some of whom may be supporters of the club, who might walk away.

Better to take their medicine and instead ask for some help from the AFL. The AFL can afford to fund this at least in part - well actually the lot - otherwise the club's future might be in jeopardy.

I think he’s better off as a back man than a forward. Don’t get me wrong he is a beautiful contested mark but his kicking is deplorable and he is as inconsistent as they come.

Larkey gets far less fanfare than him but he is more consistent and a better team player.

Naughton has the rare ability to play as a genuine swingman, just as comfortable in defence as fwd. very versatile. Hipwood is the biggest downhill skier in the league.

Larkey being so accurate makes you pay even when he has a quiet day however he does lack contested marking strength, which is why we really need a casboult type that can glove or bring to ground pack entries ( ideally you would prefer fwd entries to be LDU and Sheezel type deliveries)

yeah Draper is unbelievably overrated. I think an underrated aspect of them bringing in Goldy is they don't rate Draper and his ability to win a ruck contest

It's not that they don't rate him, it's that they have concerns with his body holding up

I think it's difficult for any key forward that plays in a team that has at least 1 other proper key forward to be consistent... & you could make an argument that the Bulldogs & Brions have the 2 tallest forward lines. Naughton, especially, would do a lot of running to open up space for his team-mates.

The whole over/under-rated debate depends on who is doing the rating. If it was the umpires, I'd say Lachie Neale is the most over-rated & Josh Dunkley most under-rated.

Prior to this season, Callum Wilkie was severely under-rated. Similarly, Brennan Cox will probably be talked about a bit more in 2024.

My dad is a lifelong blues supporter and he can't stand Cripps. He reckons he's the most overrated player in the comp. I tend to agree.

I don't know where Harry McKay is currently rated but I have no interest in a key forward who cracks the sooks and gets his head down once he misses a set shot. The same goes for Max King, although I rate his marking.

Nic Martin gets some praise but I'd love to have him on the Roos.
