A bloke near me in Aisle 34 yells out "Hope ya do ya knee!" regularly to players he doesn't like.

Not cool. Wishing 12 months of pain and rehab, missing achievements he dreamed of as a kid, on a guy whose crime is that he doesn't wear the footy jumper we like possibly through little choice of his own? I wish I had the courage to call that bloke out.

VETERAN West Coast list boss Rohan O'Brien has resigned, effective immediately.

Fresh off bringing No.1 draft pick Harley Reid to the Eagles, O'Brien says the time is right to depart the club having first joined way back in 1990.

"For the last three years we have focused on attracting the best young talent as we begin to build our list and I believe we are at an exciting juncture," O'Brien said.

"We are in the process of a significant transition as we now have one of the youngest lists in the competition and I look forward to seeing the club rise.

Nope, left on his own terms. Curtin has nothing to do with it.

I thought he was retiring leading into 2020, got convinced to hang on until 2022 to help them out of Covid, then got asked to hang on another year to help the new team?

Heard rumblings that they left their run to grab curtain too late… phoned into Geelong but found out Adelaide had beaten them to the drop …with a better offer…….so no curtain…maybe nothing to do with today’s outcome…
