Surely not. There's no way that poster is being serious. If so, I'd not restrict such an accolade to this week.

I mean, our middling team made pretty light work of both 2023 Grand Finalists last season... We've also won more premierships than both Adelaide and Carlton combined since the turn of the millennium.

I’ve been banging on about the Eagles been shit partly due to the turnover of List Managers.

Today their latest list manager quit.

I can't believe they finished last and only managed to pick up 1 out of the 11 WAFL prospects drafted

Personally, I don’t think they could afford to NOT draft Reid

After that they didn’t really have much to deal with 23, 37, 58, 73

Future picks weren’t/didn’t seem to be overly popular this year, & again I personally thought it’d be a mistake for them to trade that out.

But my inner self wishes they had traded both 1st rounders as they are almost up there with essendone in my list of disliked clubs

One superstar player is not enough though, GAJ at Gold Coast and Buddy at Sydney are prime examples. WCE needs to turn over their list pretty damn quick before Tassie come in and had the best chance of doing so this year by turning Reid into 2 or even 3 decent players/picks. There's also a chance that Reid is the next Jack Watts, opportunity squandered in a team that is so far from contention that his career is already f***ed if he doesn't get out ASAP.

If f1 picks can slip into the high 20s, they aren’t worth the gamble so much

The amount of assistance that the Shinbeggars got didn't help them as well. There first pick in round 2 was pick 30!

Makes you wonder, with hindsight knowing for certain that North were bluffing about taking Curtin with 2 or 3 if West Coast would have actually traded with us or another club knowing Curtin would still be available to them.

I think West Coast knew North weren't taking him. Nor us. Seemed like they were picking Reid and then throwing everything at getting Curtin. Any other year, a future pick 1/2 would have easily secured a current pick 6-8, but clubs just weren't interested in F1s this year.
