Jeff I agree, typically first year players are at their best early in the season so ideally we get a look at him before he likely hits the wall like draftees often do.Oskar Ryan looks a huge shot for early season debut
bigman does he still look really skinny in upper arms and quads ?
Desperately trying to find a place for him, it will be ruck soon.Reports of them having Sloane in defence today?

Defence would be friggin madness, doesn’t have the speed, run or leg to justify trying to learn defence at 33 and is he really going to take the place of Milera, Hinge, Nank, Max, Parnell, Hamill or get in Curtin or Ryan’s way?
If you had to pick a time for a hammy this is not too badChannel 7 confirming Milera is having scans on a sore hamstring.
Yeah, hopefully injury free during the season. If you had to pick a time for a hammy this is not too bad
Would be happy to see Sloane and Ned the subs all yearIt seems smart just to use him as the sub, real impact late in games
True but he’s had hammy probs on/off all pre seasonIf you had to pick a time for a hammy this is not too bad

Was the spot I was hoping we'd try him in a season or two ago, still feel like he could do alright in it. Whether that's as best 22 or depth is another question.Desperately trying to find a place for him, it will be ruck soon.

I think he would be great playing in the back lines and acting as that backline general and onfield coach to the younger lads. But only in the SANFL team, not in the AFL team. Could use it as a transition into coaching if he wants to go that way.Was the spot I was hoping we'd try him in a season or two ago, still feel like he could do alright in it. Sadly, based on the evidence of recent years, the answer to that question is "yes, he is".Desperately trying to find a place for him, it will be ruck soon.

My worry with milera is both were very innocuous even for hamstrings.True but he’s had hammy probs on/off all pre season
Bit like Worrell last pre season he strained his 3x
Great news, sounds like we dodged what could have been a real dampener to the start of his careerHell yeah

Yeah agreeMy worry with milera is both were very innocuous even for hamstrings.
Whereas worrell’s initial hamstring last year was caused by a lunging tackle from Nankervis mid-kick that would have injured most players.
Would’ve hoped by now milera’s body would have hardened a bit and he could have a good run at it. He is very important to us particularly given smith, while still good, is no longer at his peak.
Not great but better in pre season.Yeah agree
Needed milera to get stronger to build off last year and it hasn’t gone to plan
I posted a clip from the club 3-4 weeks back .. pretty much covered itJust on C7 news a feature on Max M. He has come out bigger and stronger looking in pre-season.
What is it players actually do in pre-season that allows them to bulk up so much in a quick period?
