It’s crazy how in a national comp we have to suckle at the AFL’s teat for a the scraps of an extra home game every now and then while clubs like Collingwood and Richmond get to stay in Vic for months at a time and play away games at Marvel Stadium

Wow - they managed to succeed with Gather Round inspite of it being a knee jerk reaction to Magic Round, now they're going to devalue the whole concept by doing it 3 times a year. Who will bother travelling when they know the whole show is coming to their city a few rounds later?

It looks like one of the better ones on paper - Essendon have brought a decent amount if pressure in their games despite losing a couple. Both teams high scoring with a bit of a leaky defence. Both groups of supporters massive dickheads so whoever loses will be choking back tears which will make my balls tingle a bit. Good times.

Hopefully the VFL realises that the shared Labor Day in March is only in VIC, SA & TAS and as such, won’t schedule teams from outside those states on that day.

Also I see commencing the season at the start of March may continue. We’ll be starting in February soon enough.
