Yeah, the issue was the second year. So how he plays in round 5 isn't the issue, it's how he's going in round 20 next year that will determine who was right.

Exactly. If he'd just keep it to himself I wouldn't have an issue (his feelings on his final contract are none of our business) but he's thrown snide little comments at the club pretty much every time he gets a microphone put in his face. I like Goldy and hope his kids play for North some day, but he's been acting pretty inflammatory for such little gain.

The snipes at North from him (I couldn't give a shit what his wife and kids say) are poor form. He was a very good player for us, but we were good to him too.

In my book, Goldy will always be pretty much a legend of our club. He gave his all for us. No “gotcha” questions to him and his family from BT, in the rooms after a very good, unexpected, win is going to change that. Having said that, it galls me to see him and McKay in that jersey. Countless defeats has, understandably, made us all a little touchy and brittle. However, Goldy was/is/will always be a champion of North - in my view.

I'd have to see the footage but I don't mind a young guy being mad when they are losing and he's subbed off and can't help them get the win. More maturity could display it better but if it's coming from a place of competitiveness then it's something to work with.
