Ahhhhh he got 2 games and they’ve given Petty the entire season! Blaming McAdam for the 92 point loss to Freo was a bit strange too
They play different roles.

McAdam very over rated here. Like Fantasia does have some skill, but lazy.

There is a reason why these guys always injured. One of the hardest parts of top level sport is match rehab and injury prevention. Cut corners here, and you are always injured.

Will say though that suspension cost McAdam. He seemed to have got motivated. But three weeks with no games put him back.

Not sure why you’re defending Petty, whatever role he’s playing isn’t working.

Not really defending. But they probably need him for structure.

We dodged a bullet there. Hope the gun is nit reloaded this year.

The last 3 teams in that 8 could be bottom 4 on form atm
Probably not far off.

Port are 0-3 (and haven't had an impressive win since Round 4), Geelong are 1-6, Melbourne are 2-4 (with one win being a 3 point thumping of North) and GWS are 2-5. All of them are genuinely shocking right now.

Essendon aren't great either, but will probably scrape in courtesy of a soft draw.

Geelong, Port and Melbourne will miss and be replaced by Brisbane, Bulldogs and Freo at the end of the season IMO. Hawthorn a smokey.

GC's inability to perform on the road means they'll just miss.

Josh Carr is effectively coaching them now.

We stand in the Western Stand terrace level and for Showdown stood in front of the Port coach box.

Carr is very active in there.

Ken barely using any headset or phone to talk upstairs. Compared to other coaches on sidelines who are constantly communicating with the box.

The players use the headset when they come off as well. After Ken pats em on the back.

If they want Ken gone, they want Carr gone too.

Next minute contract restructured.

Said at the time the AFL would do something like this & many here argued they wouldn't.

My reasoning is it's not a good look for the AFL where a club is disadvantaged by a player who has ongoing concussion injury. They want to be encouraging players with ongoing concussion injuries to retire no play on & do more damage.

The AFL said they would get tough on staging a few years ago & I think made a tough stance once... then forgot about it.

Should be large fines for 1st incident then suspension thereafter for serial offenders.

Yeah there should be no issue with this.

I guess a shame we didn't get it for Seedsman.

Probably didn't ask....

Good precedent though.

Appropriate typo

This may be crass, but it makes English more attractive as an option.

Bulldogs and Freo aren’t much better, can never seem to win more than one or two in a row

It’s not even just their win-loss records, but some of the thrashings they’re copping too. All have copped 10+ goal thumpings (some more than once).

Geelong have two as well

There's a lot of very average teams this year. Anyone can have a good day and smash another team, then the next week get smashed themselves. There's 2 clear stand outs, Sydney and Carlton. Collingwood are up there and with players coming back, should make top 4. Brisbane a dark horse if they make the 8, as their best is definitely good enough, but their poor start probably stops them making top 4. But good luck if they're in form heading into September.

Everyone else is probably making up the numbers, unless they go on a Bulldogs 2016 run with the umpires.

Freo winning by 92 and then losing by 67 must be up there with the biggest turnarounds in history
