3rd medium /tall defender to replace Howe this /next year would be a really good outcome for club & Reef fcI like it. Any dashing runs will be a nice bonus, but that's the bread and butter that makes or breaks him if he's going to play as a tall defender.
Need him to play the 2nd tall role. Can't have billy frampton anywhere near the best 23 if we are to finish top 4 and have a crack3rd medium /tall defender to replace Howe this /next year would be a really good outcome for club & Reef fc
Correct me if I’m wrong but was Frampton part of Collingwood’s 2023 Premiership team? Someone told me he kept one of the best defenders in the league ineffectual for almost 3/4’s of the match but I could be wrong.Need him to play the 2nd tall role. No you are probably thinking of Mason Cox. Some were adamant we could never win the flag with him in the team.Correct me if I’m wrong but was Frampton part of Collingwood’s 2023 Premiership team? You’re right. What was I thinking? Frampton kept Harris Andrews (or is it Andrew Harris) goalless in the 2023 Collingwood premiership. No you are probably thinking of Mason Cox. Some were adamant we could never win the flag with him in the team.
Yeah it would be. Any role that he can stick would be good, really. I think 2nd tall is probably more realistic (as silly as that may sound to some). Your third tall often will be loose man, playing on a resting ruck or someone who isn't a threat in the air. You want them to be an attacking interceptor who reads it really well. Haven't seen much to suggest that's his go, but who knows. Also a potential Bruzzy general defender role looks like it would suit. Either way, I'm glad he's been moved back3rd medium /tall defender to replace Howe this /next year would be a really good outcome for club & Reef fc
He seems to be an attacking defender, with good skills, and reads it well.Yeah it would be. Any role that he can stick would be good, really. I realise it didn't have sound. All fixed
Plus excellent games on Harry McKay and Tom Lynch over the last two seasons.Correct me if I’m wrong but was Frampton part of Collingwood’s 2023 Premiership team? Someone told me he kept one of the best defenders in the league ineffectual for almost 3/4’s of the match but I could be wrong.
Are you saying he can only make it as a shut-down defender? Don't get me wrong I agree this would be useful. The above highlights are a bonus, but if he can't do the things we need from a somewhat shut down defender, then he isn't in the team. And if he can do them (even if just for 1-2 years), then it solves A LOT of problems for us.
Some very clever person on the pies thread, has stated for various players over timeAre you saying he can only make it as a shut-down defender? Don't get me wrong I agree this would be useful.
However his speed means he may also be good as a rebounder in the Noble/Markov mould.
