The AFL do like to have different teams win the show. Then that team gets shafted a bit after. Even the Pies had their game plan effectively banned to stop them stopping the game when they are in front.

I do wonder how much the umps are told to favour certain .. things. Like maybe, Blues KPFs.

You could be really generous and put Docherty, Cerra or McKay in … but McKay doesn’t play ahead of Jack, Lynch or Curnow. And Cerra doesn’t play ahead of Cotch or Prestia. And Short is missing out as a B&F in a flag year, so Docherty isn’t as stiff as Short.

I used to go to Uni with a guy from Nauru. He played inter college footy for us in bare feet. Their footy ground is crushed coral so didn't GAF about playing barefoot on the grass at La Trobe Uni oval. He wasn't very tall but he was almost square in shape. **** he was strong. Could play a bit but mainly just pushed people out of the way with ease.
