Based on the article in the Sunday Mail and the below web site both camps are ramping up their campaign.

In the end whatever the vote I imagine at this stage the government will just compulsory acquire the land and go ahead.
Any idea what hoops the government...
You could be right Chief Crow, the below is the proxy details from the general meeting in July:
http://www.cricketsa.com.au/content.aspx?p=889
The second amendment successfully introduced proxy voting and provides members with the right to appoint another SACA member or the meeting...
As I see it waiting for seven years for membership and then paying all the associated cost allows me to vote based on whatever logic I chose. But I do see your point.
I am both a SACA and Crows member so I can see it from both sides.
But the reason I will be voting no is from a taxpayer point of view. I have three main problems with this development:
Future proofing
There is no scope for expansion, lets just say that the state government are...
Based on the below article the new information released is as follows:
- The scoreboard and northern hill will be retained.
- 50,000 seats to be provided across three pavilions.
- A function centre is planned for the southern entrance.
- Underground link will run below the whole oval to give...
Gough based on the below the drop-in pitch was one of the first things the SACA gave in to:
http://www.adelaideovalredevelopment.com.au/faqs
Will there be drop-in pitches?
If Adelaide Oval is to operate as a multi-purpose stadium then drop-in pitches will be necessary to ensure that cricket is...
Looks like an early May vote then.
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/state-cabinet-approves-adelaide-oval-deal/story-e6frea83-1226013550676
SACA members, who hold the key to the future of the $535 million Adelaide Oval redevelopment will vote early in May on whether or not...
Jo based on the below link the proxy vote did get through:
www.cricketsa.com.au/content.aspx?p=889
Which as stated in the article you posted earlier is how:
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/adelaide-oval-faces-critical-hurdle/story-e6frecj3-1226013810434
'Another prominent South...
Based on the below article from yesterdays Advertiser they are, but I can't find any details on the SANFL, SACA or AdelaideNow web sites, so I'm not sure how they are releasing the information.
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/cabinet-signs-off-on-oval-deal/story-e6frea6u-1226013830003...
Looks like Michaelangelo Rucci has started his sales pitch to the SACA members:
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/members-hold-key-to-ovals-grand-designs/story-e6frecj3-1226014434224
There is the ambience of the precinct, in particular the northern mound, the Moreton Bay trees and the view...
In regards to the ACC changing the lease amount, based on the 2006-07 SACA Annual Report the following are the lease conditions:
"The Adelaide oval lease is a non-cancellable lease expiring of the 30th day of June 2044. The lease agreement provides that the minimum lease payments shall be...
I think you’re missing the rental cost and ownership issues.
20/20 Cricket will always be at Adelaide Oval as the SACA will own 51 percent of the local franchise and I can’t see international cricket going anywhere.
Any new venue would have to be 50,000+ seating which would make rental...
I hope your right alex, it would best the best solution (in my opinion) and the SANFL could argue that they came to the party but it's the SACA's fault that the deal fell through.
In regard to the loss of the oval I was referring to the SACA attracting other events such as the NRL games which members have an allocation of tickets for at other times of the year outside the cricket season.
To be a 100% honest with you Papa G I don't think the SACA members will be able to...
They will struggling to get 50% of the vote with the traditional members as they are, to get 75% there will need to be serious sweeteners for the SACA members or Ian McLachlan will need to do something 'creative' with the proxy voting system.
From a traditional cricketing point of view I don't...
I feel the same way.
It should be interesting to see how the vote goes, of the half a dozen members I know (a mixture of old and new members) none are currently in favour of it.
Maybe its the governments plan to introduce the Act to parliament and get the opposition to reject it, that way they can blame its cancellation on the Libs and the Adelaide City Council which wouldn't be a hard sell.
Did anyone see the below article yesterday:
Gangsta-rap cricket - the Big Bash vision
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/gangsta-rap-cricket-the-big-bash-vision/story-e6frecj3-1226005365768
For instance, New South Wales' two franchises - possibly named Sydney Sixers and West Sydney...
I remember a story in the paper on Football Park's location (it was the Advertiser for what it's worth) and there was a fair list of sites above West Lakes on the list. I think the top site was the Western Parklands near Adelaide high and a site at Islington near the main rail line was also...
An interesting article as to why the SACA are so desperate for the redevelopment to go through: http://www.kryztoff.com/RAW/?p=1114
At this stage I think both the SACA and SANFL are holding off on any decisions until they see which way the political wind is blowing as can be seen by the SACA...
For those of you with good memories do you know what the government contribution to Football Park has been over its life?
Based on Wikipedia (I know not the most reliable source) the following are the upgrades that have taken place:
1984 light towers installed.
1997 new corporate...
Did anyone hear Penny Wong on Matt & Dave (ABC 891) yesterday?
Very interesting when they asked whether with the Adelaide Oval redevelopment funding was in trouble based on the removal of funding for the O-Bahn extension, all her reply entailed was that it wasn’t her portfolio but as she...
Just a interesting one for you cricket lovers, reading over on the domestic cricket board some of the other states are getting surveys on the favourite names for the new Big Bash teams.
I haven’t heard anything from the local press or an email from the SACA (I am a member). But I 'modified'...
