Sorry did not word that clearly enough. My understanding is that none of Day, Scott, Smith will be playing the Aust Open this year.

Cheers Bicco. Suspect both clubs will need to have strong boards that look aggressively toward the future and not be dictated to by the old members. With one course at 7MB you may initially get a few weekend groups looking for a second game. When the second course is built this will really fall...

Bicco do you reckon there is any way they could sell both Royal Hobart and Tasmania golf clubs and their land and with the proceeds build a third course at 7 Mile Beach to house the new merged club?

Apparently greens will be stimping at about 9.7. It was amazing when I played for 2 weeks in Scotland - in benign weather - how much slower they run their greens at compared to Australia. For some reason we seem to have a fascination with mega fast greens that nowhere in the rest of the world...

The other day they were talking 45-50mph gusts in the Thurs AM round and potentially heavy rain. Should be brilliant if so.

He played for Geelong College vs Scotch at Scotch. I went for the first half in horrid cold conditions. He played on ball basically the whole time I was there. He did pretty well but it was such a slog that it was hard for anyone to stand out. I will say he is very slight of build - even by...

One of my good mates tried to pre-qualify at Panmure and missed out. He told me on a call last night that Panmure was set up very difficult but that Carnoustie was a whole new level when he visited there yesterday. It may be quite a decent watch if the weather gets rough.

That would be a good day at Brookwater. Rightfully makes the top 5 list of hardest courses in Australia alongside Hamilton Island, Barnbougle Dunes, Ocean Dunes and Cape Wickham.

It's actually potentially a doubly bad break for you as Huntingdale will end up being a better course than Metro when the course works are done.
