My fondest memory of Tex was the 2012 PF against Hawks when he kicked that bomb on the half time siren.
That was the first time as a Crows Supporter I dared to dream.
Good on you for starting this thread.
I learnt the true pain of supporting a through Wolverhampton Wanderers - being relegated in successive seasons from the Premier League in 2011/12 down to League 1 in 2013/14. You learn to take nothing for granted. Wolves are now 6th in the Premier League...
I remember being at work and finding out on tv - and having a sick feeling in my stomach all week. It's just not something you ever would fathom.
The way the footy world came together during that time was quite incredible.
I don't think I was ever more proud of my club than during that...
My mind goes back to 2009 in the Craig Era when we were playing shootout footy. High scoring, play on at all cost footy. We were probably the form side going into the finals before Jack Anthony broke our hearts. Anyway, high scores, dynamic end to end stuff.
Would that current game-style be...
A blog post I've written in which I talk about how the sporting underdog has become quite powerful in recent times!
Go the doggies!
https://kapoortalk.com/2016/09/29/underdogs-are-now-a-thing-of-the-past/
Need to get games into our young blood. Players like Riley Knight, Milera, CEY and Menzel are the future. We need to model our game on the doggies. Young blood, passion, speed and flair
Jaenschy was a great kicker outerer! I think smith is the man. Has a rocket of a right leg and speed to run off the mark. I still remember the 98 grand final and the amount of kicks down the middle, not to mention the amount of different kick takers we had for the kick outs. How times have changed
I would've loved to have brought in millera or knight for McGovern to nullify their midfield this week. I feel we are a little top heavy, and need extra midfield flair. Can't happen, won't happen, so my post is no more than a personal vent.
Unfortunately we won't see a change in format for a while since they only just signed the new TV contract guaranteeing x amount of games per season for the next 5 years or so.
It's a long season, the draw really opens up from here, and I dare say in a month's time, those that are actually being negative will be the ones calling us contenders. I agree about this being a bit of a reset year. But it definitely has a bit of 09 feeling about it.
The fact of the matter is that you don't win or lose premierships in May... I remember 2009 when we were 2-5.. And we finished one game out of top 4, and were playing arguably the best footy in the competition until that muppet Jack Anthony broke our hearts on the siren.
I can't stand some of...
Mate, that's terrific. I hope he has a look at it!
At the end of the day, it's just an extension of the passion I have for the club! I could not be prouder of what the boys have accomplished. I have never been more in love with this football club than right now. A fairytale September would be...
Hey guys. Safe to say this has been the most emotional and testing year in our club's short but proud history. I thought I'd make a video to simply show our club's journey throughout 2015. Let me know what you guys think.
I tweeted it to him! He deserved a send off! Despite a couple of poor seasons, he is well respected and a genuinely good bloke. Much loved by the supporters.
Smart and Trigg: "The reason we have guilty looks on our faces is because we haven't yet dropped a bombshell that will F*** us up for the next few years"
Thanks for your comments guys! I love making little videos, and its my first one to do with the AFC. If you guys have any ideas for future videos, I'm all about it! Just love the tingles down the spine. When Walker kicked that half time bomb, I truly believed. Re-watching it brings back that...
