Personally I started following the Lions midway during the 2006 season, when we were well and truly past our golden age. Those first 10 seasons - bar 2009 - got increasingly difficult to watch, a basketcase from top to bottom, mired in the abyss of irrelevancy and worse, pity. I'll never forget...
Although I haven't been watching football for anywhere near as long (18 years), I would definitively agree with this statement. I honestly can't recall seeing a player with so much hype and expectation prior to being drafted come into the league and dominate since day one. He could have...
Good point, thinking back to earlier in the season we certainly lacked speed coming out of the defensive 50 once Coleman went down. I think we'd struggle heavily to create quality offensive opportunities against a well drilled unit like Sydney without enough pace off the halfback.
I'd take out McKenna personally, he's been a defensive liability a fair few times this season, and his decision making with ball in hand leaves much to be desired.
I think Brain showed enough to persist with him in the seniors for an extended run.
Is Jake Waterman a viable trade target?
He's averaging slightly more than Rankine as a forward for the season, plus his last 5 weeks he's averaging 126.6, tonning up 4 times, and West Coast have markedly improved their form in the same time period.
I think I might pick him up
After careful consideration, I'm going to skip on the Ultra Premo upgrades this week, and go for value.
Midfield is now complete, Defence will be finished next week, and with nearly $300k in the kitty, next week I can either go 2 up or continue on the 1 up 1 down path.
This round has by far been the hardest trade wise IMO.
Should I consider moving players like Meek & D'Ambrosio on to premos even though they have some extra mooing to do?
