i agree.
although also agree he is best with a good team around him, he is harder to replace, and still young enough to be in our next window.
baker, graham and rioli easier to replace ....
Dont like it at all.
Maybe not so much that he might do it - but like Dimma - how it's been done has been disrepectful to the club for mine ....
Thank you Tom Lynch and Broady for your stances ....
Sometimes this is all it takes - before this year was really positive - he didn't really take his opportunities this year to be fair - but he's lucky we aren't overly blessed with Forward options at min so i'd stick with him and hope a forward coach pushes the right buttons and we are repaid in...
if the deal isn't right im also happy to keep him then - and he comes across as the sort of personality that would deal with that (unlike someone like Shai)
Don't forget the Bowes deal and how weird that was either .... Bowes for pick 7!
rent free ....
But while on topic .... can someone remind me who has first pick in PSD and how that would work?
Lets not forget this bloke was rejected for not being able to put out fires properly .... #flog
I think in this draft 9 + 10 > pick 3 - unless we are guaranteed Jagga with 3
I'd be going the 6 + 13 from Goldie for Rioli and us paying a fair whack of his contract - salary cap space we have plenty of so should utilise to 'buy' better picks ....
But if you could get him going again .... looks absolutely like someone that needs a fresh start and sitting on a massive contract isn't going to help him mentally either ....
Ryan gets to the right position - just can't execute the mark at the moment for some reason (some will be physical i spose).
Not throwing baby out with bath water just yet ....
I think Dusty needs to be careful here - leaving us does effect his legacy - not our appreciation, but you can't deny it will impact the legacy - and if goes to Suns for a year and stinks it up how does that help anything .... Thinking McGuane at Pies, Dougie Hawkins at Fitzroy, Dermie at...
and i still think Baker is the same - when their careers are done they'll go back to WA so quick their heads will spin - but i think they'll stay with us until the club doesn't want them or arranges something they feel is better ....
Neither Baker or Dusty seem like the type that would desert the 'ship'.
Don't forget the ave wage is going to be around $500k in next few years (so Taranto $700k will be a steal).
Bakes worth $750-800k on that premise - if he's being offered $1mil, $200K Diff, half in tax - he stays under...
